Andale Defense Says No to Wellington "O"

Create: 09/23/2017 - 05:55

The IRONDUKES were in action Friday night on the road to Andale. Both squads, 3-0 going in had felt nothing but success since opening night 3 weeks ago.

It became evident early and persisted for the entirety of the game, that the Andale defense would be too much for Wellington's Offense, limiting the Crusaders to just 2 first downs on the evening and allowing under 100 yds of total offense.

The Defense shined at times and kept the INDIANS out of the end zone towards the end of the 2nd qtr., a relatively good quarter for the CRUSADERS who allowed only "2" pts on a safety, a result of an errant hike exchange on a punting play. Andale would come out 2nd half though and pick up where they left off after 1.

Coach Aguilar complimented Andale and their coach Dylan Schmidt in post game remarks and took personal responsibility for "not having the Crusaders better prepared offensively".
